Golfing stars wowed by Giza Pyramids ahead of International Series Egypt
Some of the best golfers in the world soaked up breathtaking culture and ancient history with a visit to the world-famous Giza Pyramids in Cairo ahead of the International Series Egypt, the $1.5 million tournament which marks the Asian Tour’s first ever visit to the country.
American star Sihwan Kim, Canada’s Richard T. Lee and Jeunghun Wang of Korea visited the iconic site on Tuesday morning along with local golfing star Issa Abou El Ela, in a special pre-tournament trip arranged with the Egyptian Golf Federation and the Ministry of Tourism.
During the tour, the players learned about the history behind the pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza located in the site.
The International Series Egypt takes place on the Madinaty Golf Course in Cairo from November 10-13.
